
We meet on Thursdays from 6.30-8.30pm at Universty of Edinburgh buildings in central Edinburgh. The Uni give us free access to rooms through their Community Access to Rooms Scheme which we are very grateful for.
For this coming term, Autumn 2025, (11th September to 11th December) we are in: G43 in Paterson’s Land. Paterson’s Land, Edinburgh University, Holyrood Campus
There is no practice on Thursday 20th November.
However, if you are coming for the first time and are not on the mailing list, please email us to confirm the venue, as the above information may be liable to change (and we sometimes don't update the website in time).
There are toilets and water fountain nearby.

Term Dates and Fees - Information
This term runs from 11th September 2025 to 11th December with one week off on 20th November - 13 sessions in total
FULL TERM FEES:
Full price fees are £65 (13 x £5 per session)
Concession fees are £36 (13 x £3 minus one session)
Term fee is our preferred payment method. If you pay for the full term in one payment, the price per session is (full) £5 / (concession) £3.
DROP-IN PAYMENT:
However, if you come irregularly, drop-in payment is also available:
**NEW** £7 full fee
**SAME** £3 concession
This slight change is to incentivise block payment of fees so we reduce fees that go to our card reader service and give a break to the person in charge of taking fees

Fees should not be a barrier to anyone attending, and if you need to pay less or are not in a position to pay a fee, just have a word with Anne, Joe, or Caro and we can waive it altogether. Any queries can also be sent to our treasurer Anne via castlechorus@gmail.com.
Castle Chorus Connections:
We have a private Facebook group for our members to share socially which you are welcome to join if you sing with us. We also have a WhatsApp group. Our Facebook page covers our public facing announcements and our YouTube channel is where we share any music we share online. We also have some recordings on Facebook and SoundCloud (see links below)
Castle Chorus - how we work
Castle Chorus is run by a voluntary committee who are informally elected at our AGM. They work with our Musical Director Caro Overy to organise concerts, workshops, other creative projects for the choir and our weekend away. Caro is employed on a freelance basis as our Musical Director and paid according to Musicians’ Union rates for her work. The committee manages our choir finances and bank account and they provide an ‘accountability filter’ of sorts for Caro!
